FRANKLIN, W.Va. —
Doris
Elaine Craig of Franklin, died Aug. 30 at her residence.
She was born July 16, 1933 in Harrisonburg, Va., the daughter of Robert Allen and Jessie Magnolia Guyer Eye.
She was married on Oct. 3, 1953 to Stanley Lewis Craig, who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2007.
She graduated from Franklin High School in 1951 and later attended Bridgewater College. She was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church where she was the organist. She retired as an English and home economics teacher at Franklin High School in 1995.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Ann Dove and husband Larry, of Upper Tract, and Mary Beth Lambert and husband Mark of Franklin; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept 3 at Franklin United Methodist Church, with pastor Robert Anderson and Pastor Susie Echols officiating.
Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
