Drug-possession indictments handed down in Highland Circuit Court

MONTEREY — A Highland Circuit Court grand jury Tuesday returned indictments against three people as a result of a Sept. 7 search warrant executed on 1388 Seldom Seen Road.

Allegheny Highlands Regional Drug Task Force, the State Police tactical team, and Highland County Sheriff's office executed the warrant based on information from a confidential informant. Seized items from the property include a six-inch mirror with a razor blade, a plastic bag containing green plant material, and Miracle Grow.

Willard Kenneth Smith of Doe Hill was indicted on one felony firearm possession charge, one felony charge of marijuana possession with intent to sell, and one felony charge of unlawfully possessing a controlled substance classified as Schedule I or II.

Allison Kay Smith faces one charge of manufacturing and distributing marijuana and one charge of felony child neglect. Sheriff Herb Lightner said she has been arrested, and is being held without bond.

Danielle Marie Hughes was charged with two felony counts of drug possession.
