Two plead guilty in weapons theft case

MONTEREY — On Tuesday in Highland County Circuit Court, Chad Ira Montgomery Sr., 29, of Covington, and Stephanie Lynn Hull, 27, of McDowell, pleaded guilty to felony breaking and entering and grand larceny charges.
Montgomery and Hull were charged with breaking into the home of Stu Simmons of Blue Grass on Nov. 28, 2007 and taking a number of items, including a handmade sword.
Hull and Montgomery each faced three counts of grand larceny. Commonwealth's attorney Melissa Dowd said evidence showed the items were sold for money in Augusta County.
The sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
