| CLIFTON FORGE — Andy Morris, an Alleghany County resident, has assumed the position of Code Enforcement Officer for Clifton Forge.
The town council feels it has found a well-versed professional in Morris. He brings an impressive list of professional certifications to the table. He is a certified building official, and is credentialed as a residential and commercial building and trades inspector as well as a zoning and erosion and sediment control administrator. He also has extensive FEMA training as an emergency management professional.

Wendy Liptrap (left) of Warm Springs is the lab assistant for the forensic science I and basic criminal investigation courses, and Jessica Seay of Clifton Forge also serves as a lab assistant for forensic science I. For more information about the program, contact associate professor and ADJ program head Gary L. Boyer Sr., certified law enforcement trainer, at (540) 863-2885 or email glboyersr@dslcc.edu. |
| Morris is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bluefield College with a target graduation date of December of this year. His skills will ease the review and project administration duties now shared by the town manager and public works director. Both agree Morris enthusiasm and knowledge will be a boon to the town's efficient operations.
Morris, his wife Heidi, and two daughters moved to Alleghany County a year and a half ago from the Norfolk area to work for Allegheny County as a building inspector.
