"Breakfast for the Brain" at the Bath Senior Center at
10 a.m., a 20-week session every Monday morning.

Active seniors take part in brain wellness. Brain
matter games and quizes that stimulate mental

p.m. in the Highland Modular Conference Room in

¦ The Highlands Chapter of the Archaeological Society
of Virginia will meet at the Highland County Public
Library at 7 p.m. The featured speaker will be David
Hazzard, archaeologist with the Virginia Department
of Historic Resources speaking about its Threatened
Sites Program. The meeting is open to the public and
prospective members are welcome.

Becomes Ewe shop in Monterey at 10:30 a.m. There
will be a free lesson and handouts on the color wheel
and choosing colors for projects. In February begin a
class on making a kaleidoscope quilt pattern called
'Winding Ways.' Everyone interest is welcome. For

¦ The EDA meeting regularly scheduled for Jan. 13 has
been canceled and re-scheduled. More information
will be available at a later date.
Saturday, Jan. 31
¦ The Highland Historical Society bus trip to
Washington, D.C. to tour the National Mall and the
Smithsonian Museums. In case of inclement weather,
a snow date is planned for Saturday, Feb. 7. The
monuments and museums are free admission. The
bus will depart Monterey at 7 a.m. and return to
Monterey at 10 p.m. Each individual will tour the
National Mall on their own. For more information

Highland County Museum.
