Mayor, vice-mayor positions filled in Clifton Forge

CLIFTON FORGE — Clifton Forge Town Council members voted Don Carter as new mayor on a 4-1 vote this week. Carter then nominated councilwoman Nellie Friel to be vice mayor. New council member Johnette Roberts nominated James Houff for the same position. Friel took the seat, 3-2.
