A campaign sign made with 18 bales of hay for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds of Millboro has become a destination for camera buffs traveling along Route 39 in town. The sign was made by Deed's brother, Eddy Hicklin, on the property where he and his mother, Emmie Hicklin, live. A land surveyor, Hicklin said he used spray paint for the letters and number. He made a similar sign once before, when Deeds was running for the state's House of Delegates about 15 years ago. See more photos, page 7.(Recorder photo by Gina Hamilton)
