Bath taxpayers can 'get square'

WARM SPRINGS — Are you ready to "get square?" If you owe back taxes, now is your chance.

Taxpayers may pay what they owe between Oct. 7 and Dec. 5, and the Bath County Commissioner of Revenue will waive half their interest and all penalties. After Dec. 5, not only do taxpayers lose the chance to settle their debt at a reduced rate, there will also be an additional 20 percent penalty on any unpaid tax.
