Camp Allegheny nominated for most endangered sites list

MONTEREY — The 400-foot wind turbines planned for private property on Allegheny Mountain are a threat to the historic battlefield nearby, says Highlanders for Responsible Development. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle at Camp Allegheny, a Civil War site listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1990.
