Mailed papers delayed

 

According to U.S. postal officials, delivery of The Recorder will be delayed locally in some areas.

Thursday, the mail truck carrying Recorders out of Monterey broke down in Head Waters. Mail was later taken to Richmond, including the newspapers, for sorting.

Print subscribers with 244 zip codes in the region, and those in Bath County, will get their papers later than usual, we’re told.

Normally, those zip code areas are sorted in Staunton, not Richmond, to speed delivery.
