2:30 p.m. - Highland still powerless
MONTEREY – As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative’s latest update shows vast improvement in restored electric service to all areas of its territory — except Highland, where 99 percent of the households are still powerless.
SVEC said 2,110 of its customers are without power. Of those, 1,416 are in Highland County.
SVEC issued no statement on when power might be restored to Highland.
