Butler recalls ‘Looking Over the President’s Shoulder’

COVINGTON – Earlier this year, The Recorder published a series, “From The Homestead to The White House.” It told the story of Eugene Allen, once a hotel waiter in Hot Springs, who went on to Washington to find his place in history: as chief butler at The White House from the Carter administration through that of George W. Bush.
