10 residents hope to serve on newly formed school board

LOW MOOR — Ten Alleghany County residents have expressed interest in serving on the new Alleghany Highlands School Board.
The merged school board will be seated on July 1 and will be composed of four atlarge members from Alleghany County and three from the city of Covington. The deadline for applicants to apply for consideration from the county was Monday afternoon.
