Highland County approves EMS department requests



MONTEREY — Interim EMS chief Carl Williams told Highland County supervisors last Wednesday that two new full-time EMS employees had been hired. The first employee has already started, and the second will begin Sept. 27.

The county also plans to hire two part-time staff members, Williams said.

Williams also told the board he was contacted by another organization, which told him it had lent a cardiac monitor to Highland EMS when the previous chief, Adam Gillispie, headed the department. The ...
