School board debates upgrades



MONTEREY — At the Highland County School Board meeting Aug. 12, the board discussed superintendent Dr. Thomas Schott’s proposal to use federal ESSERIII funds to update the ventilation in the schools, replace the heating system, and add air conditioning. At the July meeting, the board had requested Schott have an outside company conduct an energy audit. Schott said he contacted four companies, but none would complete the audit.
