Virus cases surge across area as year comes to a close



ALLEGHENY HIGHLANDS — COVID 19 cases continue to rise as Virginia saw its biggest single day increase in confirmed cases Tuesday since Sept. 10.
Over the past week, there have been 70 new cases in Alleghany, 14 in Bath, 10 in Highland, and seven in Covington, according to the Virginia Department of Health.
