Woods closer to Snead’s record



AKRON, Ohio – Tiger Woods inched closer to the all-time PGA Tour win record with his victory at Firestone last week. Woods now has 79 total wins. Bath County’s Sam Snead has held the all-time record since 1965 with 82 wins. Woods will play in the PGA Championship this week. — Mark Griffin
