Highland CountyRecreation Commission • The Highland County Recreation Commission held a closed meeting Oct. 3 to determine recommendations for an HCRC interim director. An interview committee consisting of Laura Honaker, Karen Sweeney and George Deem, in open session, recommended Cappy Sullenberger for the position. The commission unanimously agreed. County supervisors unanimously approved the hire at their meeting Tuesday night.
